Simulation & Modeling Mechatronics

Historically, simulation and modeling efforts have typically been domain specific, independently modeling the behavior of electronic, electrical, or mechanical subsystems. As the complexity of these subsystems and their inter-domain interactions increase, it is imperative that the inter-domain behaviors and effects are taken into account when modeling and simulating the resulting, Mechatronic, system. The nine papers in this publication discuss mechatronics modeling and simulation.
