    Thomas Ruden

    Thomas Ruden is the market development manager for Lunt Manufacturing, a global leader in magnesium die casting company, headquartered in Schaumburg, IL. Mr. Ruden's career has spanned the automotive industry for more than 25 years, with 17 of those years directly involved with the magnesium and light metal industries. Currently, Mr. Ruden conducts workshops and seminars regarding magnesium and works closely with engineers and product planners to convert applications from alternate materials into magnesium. He holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Lawrence Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Detroit. In addition to application and market development work, he has authored more than 30 technical papers and writes about the advancements of magnesium. He holds several U.S. patents. Tom has been a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers for 22 years, an organizer for their Magnesium Technology Sessions, and formerly the Chair of SAE's Non-ferrous committee.
