Andrei Kandalov

Andrei Kandalov began work with the Tupolev Design Bureau in 1941 as a trainee locksmith and after the war he qualified as an electrical design engineer. In 1973 he became first deputy to General Designer AA Tupolev, a position held until 1992. He now advises the current head of Tupolev and lives in Moscow.
