Paul Duffy

Paul Duffy has been an aviation writer since 1960, when he was 14. In the following decades he built up connections with airlines using Russian- built aircraft and in 1989 began working as an aviation correspondent in Moscow. He was one of the first Westerners allowed into production factories and to be able to fully understand the Soviet aviation system. He lives in Shannon in Ireland when not in Russia.
