Jackie D Rehkopf

Dr. Rehkopf is the Senior Researcher at Plasan Carbon Composites, the leading Tier 1 producer of carbon fiber composites for the U.S. automotive industry. Working out of Tennessee at their facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and out of Wixom, MI in their Customer Development Center, she leads Plasan’s research in carbon fiber composite constituents and constructions, focused on commercialization. Dr. Rehkopf is also principal investigator of a three-year DOE sponsored project on predictive modeling of carbon fiber composites in automotive crash applications. She is a Civil Engineer with Bachelor’s and PhD degrees from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. She has spent her career working in the field of mechanics of materials. Prior to joining Plasan she worked in research at Ford Motor Co. and as a consultant at Exponent, a failure analysis consulting firm.
