![]() Douglas L MillikenDoug Milliken grew up in the heady atmosphere of basic vehicle stability and control research at CAL/ Caispan, first in the flight hangar and later with ground vehicle activity. During the same period he attended numerous motor races including time in the pits and garage with the Formula One teams at Watkins Glen and work with a Trans-Am race team (2.5 liter). He received a B. S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1977 and joined Milliken Research Associates (MRA) shortly thereafter. Projects at MRA include mechanical design and fabrication of prototypes and instrumentation; and test and development work including planning, design, driving and data analysis. He has experience with a wide range of vehicles including bicycles, record-breaking streamlined human powered vehicles, motorcycles, production and race cars, active control cars, automotive simulators and trucks of various sizes.
