![]() Jeffrey A PikeJeffrey A. Pike is president of Biomechanics Consulting, Inc., which provides injury mechanism forensic consultations regarding falls, vehicle impacts, and other accidental injury. Mr. Pike's professional background includes Senior Technical Specialist, Ford Motor Company; Adjunct Professor, Biomedical Engineering Department, Wayne State University; Fellow, SAE International; and consultant to agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), National Academy of Sciences, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and state and local governments. Mr. Pike’s publications include technical papers, book chapters, and three books: (1) Automotive Safety: Anatomy, Injury, Testing, and Regulation; (2) Neck Injury: The Use of X-Rays, CTs, and MRIs to Study Crash-Related Injury Mechanisms; and (3) Forensic Biomechanics: Using Medical Records to Study Injury Mechanisms. Mr. Pike has been an invited speaker at many conferences in the United States (including two White House Conferences), Europe, China, India, Korea, and Australia. He also has been a guest lecturer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Medical College of Wisconsin, University of Virginia, and Harvard Medical School.
